So I've started a new series that was born from the water drops concept. This series will be several triptychs telling a story of making different kinds of drinks.
The first triptych I decided to shoot, with the help of my lovely assistant/co-brainstormer Kimble, was coffee.
This is probably the biggest project I've taken on so far. I hope to have 4 or 5 different drinks, so essentially I have to shoot 15 different scenes. The final image in each group will have some sort of water/milk drop or splash.
Here are some outtakes of the coffee shots.
Kimble had the great idea of just letting the coffee fly out of the grinder with no lid on. There was a lot of sweeping up in the studio after.
